How does it work?

Private medical insurance is designed to cover the cost of private treatment of curable, short-term illnesses or injury (commonly known as acute conditions). Emergency treatment and treatment for incurable (commonly known as chronic) conditions are generally not covered. Private medical insurance complements the NHS and pre-authorization of any treatment should be obtained from the insurer at all times

The benefits is age rated, so check the Rates table using you age on 1 January to see the cost per year for the respective level of cover.

The benefit is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy outlined in the Member Booklet, a copy will be provided with your Membership Certificate when you join the policy. Your Membership Certificate will detail the benefit limits of the policy.

HMRC regards private medical plans paid for by your employer as a taxable benefit in kind. As a voluntary member your premiums are paid for by you and Envigo will collect the premiums due from your net pay via the monthly payroll.

All benefit payments will be subject to you satisfying the requirements of the insurer and the policy rules applicable.

How do I join?

You can sign up using the Rewards Selection Form button below when you join Envigo and during benefit election windows throughout your employment.

You must also complete the Bupa Application form as soon as possible and forward to Bupa (you must ensure you confirm to emeabenefits@inotivco.com that the form has gone to Bupa and also keep a receipt of Bupa’s acknowledgement).
